Coten End Primary School

wb. 11 December 2023

This is the final blog for 2023, it's hard to believe how quickly this term has flown by.

We have had a lot of Christmas fun this week. On Monday, we had a visit from Father Christmas. He came into school and read us a festive story and each child received a gift. On Tuesday, we enjoyed a fabulous Christmas lunch complete with crackers and party hats. It was lovely to see the children (and adults) enjoying this so much. We have also spent some time rehearsing for our Christingle performance which is on Tuesday morning.

On the curriculum front, we looked at some poetry in English and located numbers 0-20 on number lines in Maths. We used information we already knew to work out the location of other numbers. We completed our work on animals in Science by comparing reptiles and amphibians. We looked at picture books with moving parts in DT and designed and created our own picture page using levers and sliders to make parts move.

Have a wonderful Christmas. We look forward to seeing all of you in the New Year.
