Coten End Primary School

Week Beginning 30.06.25

Since September, Year 5 have been learning and practising the flute every week, and on Monday, it was their big moment to shine! Performing in front of their families, they were so proud to show just how far they had come. On Tuesday, Year 5 also had the pleasure of watching an incredible Rock Steady performance.

Year 5 also got creative with junk modelling, building their very own dinosaurs with their Reception buddies! Using recycled materials, glue, and a lot of imagination, they constructed fearsome T-Rexes, towering Brachiosauruses, and even a few unique dino-species of their own. It was fun, and full of teamwork and great to see how confident and kind our Year 5s were when helping the younger children.

In PE, our rounders skills are really improving. Year 5 have been focusing on hand-eye coordination, aiming for strong batting and quick fielding. It's been great to see everyone encouraging each other and developing their confidence on the pitch.

Finally, the Talent Show heats took place! What an amazing variety of talents – from roller skaters to jugglers, singers to dancers. We were blown away by the courage and creativity of everyone who stepped up to perform. Well done Year 5!
