This week was a very exciting and busy week in Year 5 as we counted down to the Christmas holidays.

The children finished publishing their exclusive chapter for our Harry Potter narrative unit, and we were blown away by their creativity. They invented imaginative magical creatures and wrote exciting stories, and they were incredibly proud of their final pieces.

Year 5 also completed their magic documentaries, where they had great fun using iMovie to edit their films. The children created clever magic tricks happening all around Coten End School and loved sharing their finished documentaries with their friends.

This week also marked our final dance session, where the children choreographed ballroom dances with a partner. They showed fantastic teamwork, rhythm and confidence as they performed their routines.

To finish the week, Year 5 enjoyed their Christmas party and Christmas lunch. Everyone loved the delicious Christmas food and had lots of fun wearing their party clothes and festive Christmas jumpers.

It has been a wonderful end to a fantastic term. Well done, Year 5, and we hope you all have a lovely and restful Christmas holiday!
