Coten End Primary School
Week Beginning 23rd February
It has been lovely to welcome the children back this week, well rested after half term. They have returned to school very positively and with a super attitude.
We are moving into our new learning theme of Fossils Hunters this half term and had an exciting discovery on Wednesday. Mr Grana rushed to Year 3 for some help as mysterious footprints, an egg, nest and unusual rocks had appeared in the Forest School area. After some investigating, the children realised that it could be a dinosaur after analysing the egg and footprints and realising that the odd rocks were actually fossils! We're not sure we will ever know what creature visited us....
In other learning, we are moving onto looking at Reconciliation in RE and the children impressed us with their mature approach to discussions. We are finishing off our unit on multiplication and division, ready to move onto shape work.
Next week, we will be celebrating World Book Day and look forward to seeing the children's costumes.
