Coten End Primary School
Week Beginning 9th March
This week it has been really exciting as we have been taking part in British Science Week. We have been discussing our daily curiosity questions, such as
How do our eyes see?
Is a kg of rocks heavier than a kg of feathers?
What would happen if the sun disappeared?
The children have been offering some interesting ideas!
On Wednesday afternoon, we held our Science Fair. It was incredible to see the wide range of Science projects that the children produced, from fossils to space, electricity to hydro power and pollination to different types of honey. It was a truly joyful afternoon and lovely to see so many parents come and share the afternoon will us.
We have also started to teach the children how to use speech marks in English which will build up to them writing their own version of Tyrannosaurus Drip. In Maths we have been learning about comparing lengths and then adding different units of length together.
