A Busy Week in Year 6!

This week, Year 6 have been busy, busy, busy!

On Tuesday, we had the privilege of watching King’s High’s production of Beauty and the Beast. They were brilliant, and we were mesmerised by their singing, dancing and acting. It was wonderful to see such a polished performance, and it has definitely given us some ideas for our own end of year production!

We have also been busy rehearsing for Oliver with a Twist, and the play is really beginning to come together. We are so proud of how hard everyone is working, whether they are acting, singing, dancing or supporting as part of the wider cast. Keep it up, Year 6!

Culture Club Day

On Wednesday, the whole school celebrated Culture Club Day. Each class was given a language to immerse themselves in for the day: 6AJ learned some Hindi, 6WS explored Turkish, and 6MC focused on Arabic.

In 6MC, it was a wonderful day. We were visited by Sara, Mostafa and their lovely son, Noah, who taught us how to have a basic conversation in Arabic. We also learned about the culture in some Arabic-speaking countries and had a go at writing our names in Arabic.

We are especially thankful for the tasty food they brought for us to try — it was delicious! We were also supported by two students from Warwick Boys, who helped make the session even more enjoyable. It was a brilliant opportunity to learn more about language, culture and communication.

Drayton Manor

On Thursday, all of Year 6 had the most incredible day at Drayton Manor. It was brilliant to see everyone choosing the types of rides they wanted to go on, whether they preferred something thrilling, something calmer or just spending time with their friends.

There was a real sense of community throughout the day, and it felt like a perfect final trip together at Coten End. Year 6 represented the school brilliantly, showing fantastic behaviour, kindness and enthusiasm throughout the day. It was wonderful to see everyone making the most of every moment.

Well done, Year 6. We hope you cherish these special memories for a long time!
