This week, Year 3 celebrated British Science Week with lots of different activities.  On Monday, each class held their own Science Fairs to showcase the amazing science investigations they had completed at home.  The children demonstrated good knowledge of the science they had used to complete their investigations and talked very enthusiastically to their Reception, Year 1 and family visitors.

On Tuesday, Fizz Pop Science delivered a workshop to Year 3 all about the earth and rocks.  The children made their own 3D earth model to show the inner core, outer core, mantle and crust.

On Wednesday, Year 3 and Year 4 took part in an online live lesson with Catherine Fitzsimons, a scientist working at the National Centre for Earth Observation.  She told us all about the exciting work she does and a new satellite which is being launched in April.
