Week Begining 28/05/25

We are delighted to welcome the children back after a lovely two-week break! As we embark on the summer term—albeit a short one at just four weeks—our students have quickly settled back into routine with an exciting variety of activities.

This week, we kicked off with a fascinating assembly led by Warwick County Council focusing on recycling. The children learned numerous ways to recycle at home and the importance of sorting recyclable materials into the correct bins. This engaging session not only captured their interest but also inspired them to be more environmentally conscious.

In addition to our recycling initiative, we have also delved into a new topic entitled "Land Ahoy!", which is thrillingly centred around pirates. The children’s imaginations have been sparked, and they are loving the adventures that come with this theme! In English, we explored capital letters through the delightful book, "Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs", enabling the children to grasp the concept in a fun and engaging manner.

In Maths, we have begun our exploration of fractions, specifically focusing on identifying and finding halves of shapes and amounts. This foundational understanding will set the stage for more complex mathematical concepts in the weeks to come.

Furthermore, in our wider curriculum, we have been examining the United Kingdom, including its constituent countries and what makes our nation unique.

We look forward to an action-packed term ahead filled with enriching learning experiences!
