Coten End Primary School

Week Beginning 12.5.25

Today, the final Year 4 class visited Warwick School for the second Science workshop of this year. This workshop was all about problem-solving, collaboration and budgeting! Each team had a limited budget to spend on resources that would help to slow down a marble when it was dropped onto a plank of wood. The teams also had to navigate and experiment with the gradient of their slope. It was very impressive to see such critical and scientific thinking on display.

Elsewhere in Year 4, the children have been working very hard in their maths, exploring decimal numbers and how they can be partitioned in different ways. We have also started to look at types of poetry and their use of figurative language in English. It has been another busy week and we are looking forward to another one next week, before a well-earned rest over half term!
