Coten End Primary School
Week Beginning 19.5.25
This week, Year 4 were given the opportunity to sing at St Mary's Church along with several other schools from the local area. Our experts from Warwick A Singing Town led us in some of the songs we have been practising in our fortnightly singing sessions in school. The church setting provided some lovely acoustics and the children sang tunefully and clearly, so that they could be heard from the back!
In our English learning this week, the children have been adapting and innovating some poetry about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. They have worked hard to include descriptive features such as similes, alliteration and personification. They are looking forward to the chance to publish and perform these poems in class.
