This week in English, the children wrote their instructions on how to mummify a mummy.  They were able to include all the gory information they had learnt about mummification in their history lessons as well as using the key features of an instruction text.  3SC used tea-stained paper to create their final published work and they look amazing.

We also had a KS2 assembly on Tuesday led by a very special guest, Karenjeet Kaur Bains, aka Athena from the TV show Gladiators.  She gave the children some wise words on how they too could become gladiators, by using all of our school values: courage, determination, kindness, curiosity, responsibility and collaboration.  She even had some of the children at the front of the hall practising her 'Athena poses'.  Thank you so much to Karenjeet for coming to our school and inspiring us to achieve our dreams.
