Week Beginning 08.09.25

Making a Splash in Week Two!

What a busy week in Year 4! The big highlight has been our first swimming lessons. We’ve been so proud of how bravely everyone got into the pool and showed real courage and determination as they learned new skills. The instructors were very impressed with how respectful and supportive the children were towards each other.

In maths, we’ve been exploring place value in 4-digit numbers using equipment and games. The children have shown great curiosity, asking thoughtful questions and explaining their reasoning clearly. We’ve seen lots of teamwork as pupils helped one another understand new ideas — brilliant collaboration in action!

Our English lessons have also been full of excitement as we began reading Theseus and the Minotaur. The children loved discussing the bravery and choices of Theseus, linking the story to our own school value of responsibility — just like heroes, we all have choices to make.

We’re so proud of the positive attitude in every class. Year 4 are showing what it means to be safe, respectful and determined learners.
