Creativity and Curiosity in Year 4

This week has been a celebration of creativity, curiosity and collaboration! In science, we explored teeth in carnivores, herbivores and omnivores, showing real curiosity as we investigated why animals have different types of teeth. The children worked carefully, shared ideas and asked brilliant questions — a wonderful display of teamwork and determination.

In art, we began designing our own Greek pots, exploring how people in Ancient Greece told stories through patterns and symbols. The children were so focused and responsible with the materials, showing great care and respect for each other’s work.

Over in English, imagination ran wild as everyone designed their own mythical creature to describe. We saw so much courage as children shared their creative ideas aloud and challenged themselves to use new vocabulary.

Across the week, we’ve noticed how well Year 4 are supporting one another — taking turns, listening carefully and showing respect in every lesson. Their enthusiasm is infectious, and we love seeing them living our school values every day.
