This was a very exciting week for Reception! We started learning our first sounds (s/a/t). We also had our first go at blending the sounds together to read the words 'at', and 'sat'. What a magical moment to be a part of - when the children realised that they could now read! We spent some time trying to spot and write these sounds as well looking for our first Tricky Word 'I'. We also spent lots of time outside, exploring the digging area, playing in sensory trays and making paper aeroplanes to throw off of the top of the castle!
