This week in Maths, we have been continuing our work on mental addition and subtraction. We have been counting in 1s and 10s and have been crossing 10s and 100s in our working out.

In English this week, we have all written our own stories based upon our ‘Stone Age Boy’ text. We imagined that we travelled back to the stone age ourselves and wrote stories about our adventures using coordinating conjunctions to make our writing as interesting as possible. We then published them by writing them up neatly in our English Writing Books and adding some illustrations.

Science this week has seen us become nutritionists! We discussed the 5 main food groups and what makes a healthy diet for a human, and we sorted different foods into the correct groups. We then revised what the diets of carnivores, herbivores and omnivores look like, and we compared them to the diet of a human.

In Computing this week, we learnt how websites work and how information travels from servers to our computer when we search or click on something.

In RE, we talked about religious buildings and how they encourage believers to worship.
