Coten End Primary School
Week Ending 7th November
This week, we jumped into the exciting world of Drawing Club! We started by reading 'What's in the Witch's Kitchen?' We drew our own witch and used a pre-writing shape as a magic code. The children then decided what magic was cast when their witch used the code. We had am amazing variety of ideas, from spider webs shooting our of her boots, to turning everyone around her into ice-cream.
The children also had some visitors this week. Dr Hannah Webber came to teach the children about the parts of their bodies and had them listening to their hearts and breathing with stethoscopes. On Thursday, the children went outside to meet the police officers. With them, they had bought not one, but two police cars! The children enjoyed sitting in them, pressing the buttons to turn on the lights and sirens and looking at all the equipment they kept in the boot. The children also enjoyed spotting all of the sneaky lights on the covert car.
