Galapagos Islands Biomes Art

This week we have been learning about biomes in geography. As part of our lessons, we created oil pastel art pieces to showcase the different biomes found in the Galápagos Islands. We could choose from the Arid Zone, Marine Biome, Coastal Zone, or Humid Highlands.

In my group, we chose to create an art piece of the Coastal Zone. We used oil pastels and were allowed to look up images on Google to help us recreate the scene. My group decided to make a beach image, and it was really fun to bring the biome to life through our artwork.

Maths- Multiplication 
We have been learning how to do long multiplication, multiplying 4-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers using the column method. I don’t find it too hard! First, you multiply the whole 4-digit number by the ones digit. Then you add a place-value holder in the next row before multiplying by the tens digit. After that, you add the two rows together to get your final answer.
