Coten End Primary School

Week beginning 11.05.26

A Huge Well Done, Year 6!

A massive well done to all of Year 6 for an incredible SATs week! Through each paper, the effort, determination and resilience you showed was clear to see. We are so proud of how calmly and maturely you approached every challenge and how you supported each other throughout the week. Everyone should feel extremely proud of themselves — all of your hard work has paid off!

Geography – Exploring Japan

After SATs, we began exploring our new topic all about **Japan**. We started by locating Japan and learning more about the surrounding countries in Asia. We looked carefully at maps and discussed how Japan’s location, landscape and culture make it such a unique country.

Year 6 then began researching different aspects of Japan, including traditional food, landmarks, schools, festivals, technology, transport, natural disasters, wildlife and Japanese culture. We discovered lots of fascinating facts and are excited to continue learning more.

Celebrating the End of SATs

To end a very busy and tiring week, we enjoyed a well-deserved visit to the park! It was a great opportunity to relax, spend time together and celebrate everything we have achieved.

Well done again, Year 6 — we are incredibly proud of you!
