This week our Drawing Club book was 'Penguin' by Polly Dunbar.  We used the vocabulary 'communicate', 'rescue' and 'companian', thinking about how the boy and the penguin communicate with each other and become companions. 

In Jigsaw this week, we sorted some kind and unkind words and phrases and threw the unkind ones in the bin!  We have written about penguins and made a list to take with us to the Arctic.  We also explored what the Arctic and Antartic habitats are like for the animals that live there.

In Maths we have been taking apart 'teen' numbers up to 20 to see how they are made up.
