Week Begining 10/03/25
What an exciting week it has been for our Year 1 class! Last week marked the highly anticipated Science Week, where the children eagerly immersed themselves in a multitude of scientific wonders. We were thrilled to welcome visitors from various sectors of the science community, who brought along a plethora of engaging activities.
Throughout the week, the children experienced the thrilling phenomenon of bubbles set on fire, created impressive coke volcanoes, and conjured up enchanting magic slime. They even saw flying paper! Each day was brimming with awe and curiosity, igniting our pupils' passion for science.
In their science lessons, our young learners were challenged with a captivating mystery involving a stolen painting. The children had to channel their inner detectives to crack the case by uncovering who had left the cryptic note behind. Using chromatography paper, they meticulously tested the suspects' pens, eagerly comparing the ink samples to reveal the culprit. This hands-on investigation not only fostered critical thinking but also reinforced essential scientific principles.
As the week drew to a close, it was heartening to witness the excitement and enthusiasm radiating from our students. Science Week has certainly left a lasting impression, nurturing their curiosity and encouraging them to explore the wonders of the world around them. We look forward to many more adventures in learning!
