This week, in PE, Year 2 started to learn archery - which they really enjoyed. They had to hold the bow correctly and position the arrow with their writing hand, before letting the arrow go towards the target. The children had excellent aim and worked hard to perfect their technique. I'm sure they're all excited about taking part in next week's lesson!
The children have also been working hard to subtract two-digit numbers from other two-digit numbers and have really started to grasp exchanging tens, where necessary.
It has also been another week immersing ourselves in learning about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot. The children really enjoyed acting as significant people involved, and they have created some wonderful work as a result.
