Coten End Primary School
Week Beginning 13th March
This week was National Science Week so we had a brilliant week taking part in a range of scientific activites. At the start of the week, we took part in our whole-school investigation, looking at how adding paper clips to paper spinners affected the rate at which they fell. We found that the more paperclips we added, the faster they fell to the ground.
On Tuesday we were very fortunate to have a special visitor in Year 2. Matt Jones is a Design Engineer at DCA Design, a mechanical engineering company. He spoke to us all about his job and we got chance to ask him lots of questions.
On Wednesday and Thursday, it was time for our annual Coten End Science Fair! We were all very excited to share the projects we had completed at home and our teachers were amazed both by the quality of our work and how confidently we spoke about them to our visitors. We also enjoyed visiting the Science Fair in other year groups and learnt lots about many different areas of Science.
