We have had a creative week in Year 4. On Tuesday, the children had a visit from some musicians who taught them all about the instruments they play and gave a live performance.

We have been learning about inventions linked to our topic 'The Invention of Hugo Cabret'. Thinking about how to solve an every day problem, the Year 4 have come up with their own inventions which they designed and wrote about in some fantastic explanation texts.

Finally, in Art, we have been learning all about Realism and Surrealism and particularly working on our use of value to make our drawings appear more three dimensional. We used a fish eye lens to take a distorted self portrait and used the grid method to help us get the correct proprortions.
