Symmetry means ‘the same both sides’ and I thought that you would like to have a go at creating your own symmetrical patterns using everyday objects from your home. Remember to start with a simple pattern before trying something more challenging. Below are some photos to give you ideas.

Did you know that the line of symmetry that runs through the middle of your pattern is sometimes called the ‘mirror line.’ Why do you think it is called that?
