Dear Parents and Carers
As you will have seen just now, the Prime Minister has informed us of another national lockdown with effect from midnight tonight.
This means that from tomorrow all schools will be closed except for vulnerable children and those whose parents are critical workers.
I would ask that you bear with us during this next couple of days whilst we firm up our contingency plans. Whilst we half expected closure for a couple of weeks, I don't think any of us anticipated that it could take us to at least February half term and at such short notice.
I will be contacting those parents who have requested critical worker care and those with EHCPs, looked after etc. as per my list earlier today. No other children should turn up for school unless you have been contacted.
For tomorrow, teachers will set some independent work on Tapestry for Reception, the website for KS1 and Google Classroom for KS2. We will contact you again tomorrow regarding the home learning plans from Wednesday onwards.
I am absolutely devastated for the children as we so desperately wanted them to be back in school. I know they will miss being here and seeing their teachers and friends. We will do our utmost to make sure they get the very best remote learning experience as possible.
I wish you all well and hope everyone stays safe at this uncertain time.
With best wishes
