Reading regularly is one of the best ways to support your child's learning. As children move through Year 4, we encourage them to become confident, independent readers who can enjoy a wide range of books. 

Reading helps children to develop their vocabulary, comprehension, spelling and writing skills, as well as encouraging imagination and curiosity. Please continue to encourage your children to read, read together and listen to each other read. 

We use accelerated reader in school to give us an accurate level of the children's reading. We also use MyOn to help provide children with a huge variety of texts. Here is the Accelerated reader website and see below for assessing it at home.
