Hello from Mrs Doncaster

It seems ages since I saw you all but I know that you have been super busy as we have received lots of emails with photos of amazing writing, drawing, creative work and maths. We are SO proud of how you have continued to work extremely hard. One of you sent an amazing picture of a car design a few days ago which had a mattress for sunbathing on the roof, what a wonderful idea!!

I have been busy trying to sort out my new house, which still isn't finished children so I will have to stay where I am for a bit longer, may even need to live in my campervan for a while!! I have added some pictures so that you can see what the new house looks like at the moment.

I am still running and have seen so many rainbows on my travels - huge ones on the pavements and smaller ones in the windows - it is such a happy message.

You know how much I love cakes children, so I made a huge banana cake on Monday and most of it's gone already blush!!

Keep sending through your lovely emails and take great care of yourselves and your families.

An Update from Miss Carter

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are all ok and enjoying some of the activities with your families. I am enjoying watching the videos of the teachers reading stories! Remember, you can watch other stories from the staff in Reception and Year 2 on the other year group pages. Working from home means that my house rabbit Lionel is getting lots of extra cuddles (although I'm not sure he always likes them..!) Have you got a pet at home who is getting more attention than normal?

I have found a great game on Mathszone. It is called shark numbers. I have added the link below if you would like to play. You need to look at the dienes to see which number is being presented! See if you can get 5 stars!

On the weekend, I made my favourite, white chocolate and cherry cookies. They were delicious and I enjoyed baking them as I haven't made them for ages. Have you done any baking at home?

Hope you are all ok,

Take care,

From Miss Carter

A Message from Miss Slater

Hi everybody!

I have already read so many wonderful emails telling us what you have been getting up to at home - you are all being so creative with your learning! It really is so lovely to hear from all of you so please do continue to send us your updates.

Last week, I was being creative too. Miss Siddorn and I were in school making egg box dragons, Easter crispy cakes and chalking the Reception garden floor. Which dragon do you like best? Maybe you could make your own egg box monster?

I will be reading another story soon - this time about a pirate - can you have a guess as to why?

Take care and keep safe,

Miss Slater.

Hello from Mrs Whitehall

Hello children!

I hope you are getting some time to enjoy this lovely sunshine we are having at the moment.  My family and I have been outside in the garden a lot playing, reading and doing lots of crafts. A particular favourite has been nail painting on cardboard cut out hands. There are a couple of pictures of my children, Chloe and Hattie, painting their hands below! Perhaps you could have a go at doing some nail art - Chloe's and Hattie's Daddy had his done too. You could email a picture of your painted hands/nails next week using the new email for Year 1.

Year Group Emails

We know that many of you have been busy completing the work and suggested activities that we have provided you in your packs! We are also trying to upload daily stories or fun activities to do at home. We have now set up a way that you can contact school and let us know what you have been learning about. Starting on Monday 30th March, you will be able to write to us each week, if you wanted to, by emailing the address below -

We look forward to hearing from you!

Miss Carter

Parents and Carers

Please note  -

This service is only set up for a place to share work with your class teacher. Any questions or problems must still be sent via the school office.

Each child can send one email per week (Monday to Friday) and the teacher will aim to respond within a week of the email being sent. Please put your class name as the subject e.g. 1MC

This is completely optional - please do not feel that you have to email your class teacher. It can also be used as and when you want to send work.
